Kidney Cancer :
Kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the body, just underneath the ribcage. It filter the blood and remove waste material and excess water.
Kidney cancer is also called renal cancer that starts when abnormal cells in the body begin to grow out of control.
Stages of Kidney Cancer :-
There are total 4 stages of Kidney Cancer which are described as follows -
Stage 1. - The cancer is 7cm or smaller and located inside the Kidney.
Stage 2. - The tumor is larger than 7cm but still completely inside the Kidney.
Stage 3. - The tumor has grown into adrenal gland or perinephric tissue. This cancer may or may not have spread to regional lymph nodes.
Stage 4. - The tumor has grown into any other organ like lungs , brain and bones.There is more than one lymph node containing cancer cells or the cancer has spread to another part of the body.

Types of Kidney Cancer :-
There are several types of Kidney Cancer which are described in below-
Reneal cell carcinoma - It is the most common type of Kidney cancer in adults, making up about 85% of diagnoses.This cancer is also known as renal cell adenocarcinoma. Renal cell cancer develops in the proximal renal tubules that make up the kidney’s filtration system.
Transitional cell carcinoma - This type of cancer develops in the lining of the kidneys.It is also called urothelial carcinoma and and usually affects men who are 50 years of age or over. Transitional cell carcinoma begins in the area of the kidney where urine collects before moving to the bladder, called the renal pelvis.
Sarcoma - This type of cancer grow in the soft tissue of the kidney and it is usually treated with surgery. Sacroma commonly comes back in the kidney area or spreads to other parts of the body.
Wilms tumor - This is a rare type of Kidney cancer that commonly found in children and is treated differently than kidney cancer in adults. Wilms tumor is more likely to be successfully treated with radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

- High Blood Pressure
- Obesity

- Occupational Exposure (for example: cook oven workers)

- Blood in the urine
- Pain or pressure in back
- High blood pressure
- Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Swelling in legs
- Anemia
- Loss of appetite

How to Prevent Kidney Cancer :-
There are several ways are defined which are used to prevent kidney cancer from growing -
Quit smoking - If you smoke, quit because giving up smoking is most important factor of preventing Kidney cancer as well as other health related problems like heart attack , lung cancer etc.
Maintain Healthy Weight - If you are suffering from kidney cancer and you are overweight then in this case you should start exercise to maintain a healthy weight. In your exercise activities, you may include : running , cycling , swimming but after concern with your doctor.
Diet - A low fat and healthy food diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetablets is recommended for healthy heart and to prevent Kidney cancer. You should use limit amount of salt in your diet because it may increase your blodd pressure. Kidney cancer patients should eat a diet that has some amount of oily fish to reduce the risk of this cancer such as salmon , sardiness , trout , herring etc.
